You guys are gonna get sick of me talking about gluten-free food. I should rename the blog “thoughts about nurturing gluten free cravings”
I can’t believe I forgot to add pictures of my birthday cupcakes… I mean, honestly, they look just like normal cupcakes, but since people don’t seem to think gluten-free ones really are about the same, I thought I’d add a picture!
One night this week we bought gluten-free burger buns to make sandwiches with. They are good, but they cost about 6 bucks or something for four, and with any grain, I risk cross-contamination with wheat which could explain some of Ada’s small reactions when I haven’t eaten any gluten or dairy knowingly in months.
So tonight we made ground chicken wraps using romaine lettuce as the bun instead. I haven’t bought ground meat in ages– literally years– but the organic ground chicken was on sale, so we thought we’d buy some and have a comfort-foody weekend with burgers and fries.
Ada had some lovely comfort food for dinner too…
just carrots! She had that other comfort food at bed time!
