Those are the main players. Raw, organic pumpking seeds, raw cocao, and organic raisins. I also threw in some raw honey for stickiness and sweetness and rolled some in coconut flakes.
My raw cookies/balls have progressed as I’ve had to eliminate things for Ada’s allergens. I adored the almond butter ones I posted about– which she may be fine with– if I could get her symptoms to go away for more than 4 days at a time I’d test them in! I so wanted to test nuts before Thanksgiving. Maybe before Christmas. The little angel is sleeping well now– seems to have gotten over a corn (dextrose) exposure today.
Anyway, back to the chocolate cookies!
Food processed the pumpkin seeds, added the raisins (could easily have used dates, dried cherries, etc), added the honey, about a tablespoon of raw cocao (a little goes a long way with this raw stuff I’ve been using). Rolled up and they lasted… maybe 15 minutes. I managed to save two for Azi and one and a half for Payman. Before eating such a specific diet, I would always try to save fun stuff like cookies for later. Now I just devour them all and figure I expend enough discipline and self control by not eating large groups of foods.
Other awesome uses for the raw cacao that keeps it raw— remember the frozen banana soft serve? Just blend up your frozen ‘nanas, add a spoon of chocolate, and enjoy raw chocolate ice cream, doesn’t need anything else to make it decadent.
