And it is sexy. Not while you do it, though.
The results are sexy, I’m sure, at the very leasy from most male’s perspective. But the best part it, body sugaring is sexy hot for the environment. It is the absolute eco-friendliest, most waste conscious way of indulging our collective obssession with getting rid of body hair.
I made my sugar wax at home, with this recipe.
Maybe this is too much information for some people, but I am committed to spreading the green-ness.
I’ve been waxing my underarms this way for a few months and I adore not shaving them. Razor bumps are not sexy.
I haven’t really moved onto doing my legs, because I basically care about that less and don’t have loads of free time around here. My underarms is enough to keep me happy. I always hated shaving them, and they were always the most important to shaved!
After you make the sugar wax, it just rinses away. Dissolves in water. Down the drain. No petroleum-based wax. No disposable strips stuck in the trash.
No shaving foams with chemicals washed down the drain.
And no razor blades or handles, made with old yogurt cups or not.
It took some getting used to, and I’m not the best at it, but it was worth the learning curve for me and my eco-footprint.
Ooh, and one of the best parts is that if you chicken out of the pain the first few times (though sites say it hurts less than waxing), it comes is real handy that it dissolves off with water.
And did I mention that a cup of sugar and squeeze of lemon juice is a whole lot cheaper than any other method around?
